Summary

Jemma is a desktop app that runs on your Mac. It has no Jemma server and no Jemma account. The information it reads is stored on your Mac, and Jemma does not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

What Jemma reads

Where your data is kept

Everything Jemma reads is stored in files on your Mac. Copied messages are kept in an encrypted database whose key is held in your macOS Keychain. Sign-in tokens are held in the Keychain. Jemma talks directly to Google's servers from your Mac; nothing passes through a Jemma server.

AI features

Some features, such as meeting notes, use an AI model through the ChatGPT account you sign in with. When you use such a feature, the text it needs (for example a meeting transcript) is sent to that provider only to produce the result you asked for. Google user data is not used to train AI models.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Jemma's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the features described above to you, is not transferred to others except as needed to provide those features or as required by law, is not used for advertising, and is not read by people unless you ask for help with a specific problem and agree to it.

Removing your data

Disconnect an account in Jemma's Settings to stop access and delete the data Jemma copied for it. You can also revoke Jemma's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the app's data folder removes everything Jemma stored.
